The film belongs to a group of works that repeatedly refer to performance in various forms. I enter the rectangle of the white screen, which is intended to create the illusion of identity with the cinema screen, take out a pair of scissors and, by cutting along the boundary lines of the film excerpt, reveal the reality of a busy Innsbruck crossroads behind it.
Then, in the film, I cross the street at the zebra crossing, taking care not to step outside the boundaries of the camera frame. (Thomas Renoldner)
