SC01 – Belo Horizonte.April.97

I recorded a journey on the SC01 bus route in the centre of Belo Horizonte (Brazil) using a Bolex 16 mm camera connected to a battery-powered time-lapse device. It was important to me to work with very long intervals between individual images and a long exposure time in order to extremely accelerate the movement on the one hand and achieve motion blur in the individual images on the other. The stops at the bus stations interrupt this high-speed journey at irregular intervals and set the visual rhythm to the music of Andi Haller. (Thomas Renoldner)
