The ritual of colour
The materiality of reversal-film material is being portrayed. This analogue technology, with its exposed chemical skeleton is clashing in an anachronistic filmic gag with contemporary digital animation. Colour is presented not as a natural, but a highly constructed medium in the expierence of film.

In Maria Luz Olivares Capelle´s experimental essay, the "waste material" arising during camera tests develops into an independent artwork: uncontrolled patches of color overgrowing the black-and-white film, chemically disfigured positive and negative images, as well as benign digital animations unveil a psychedelic color intoxication with virulent pull.
