kolonial

kolonial is a collaborative work by painter Beatrice Dreux, rashim and me. As I use photographs that often have a painterly aspect for my films, I wanted to work with actual painting for once. I took photographs of them and animated them on a computer, rashim made the accompanying soundtrack by constantly playing off it.
