Kurt Kren's 1962 short film 5/62 Fenstergucker, Abfall, etc. shows, among other things, a large number of people, edited together using the short cut technique, staring relatively impassively out of the window in Vienna. FENSTERGUCKER turns the perspective around, so to speak, actively capturing gazes and directing them inwards, through the glass of the Size Matters art space, sometimes thrown back by the film protagonists. The spontaneously initiated series presents 7 short films from the sixpackfilm program, which take up the situation on site and act as eye-catchers. The palette ranges from the movement study of a running dog (RAUMZEITHUND) - a reference to early cinema - to ingenious show arrangements (ASTOR PLACE, SEN., LIVEPAN, VON LINKS NACH RECHTS, VON OBEN NACH UNTEN), to the cinematic interpretation of the Covid distance rule (DISTANCE FILM) to an oppressive self-portrait (FADE TO DEATH), which documents a lived history of illness as an intoxicating trip.
