Claudio Baldini & Pablo Marín

With Claudio Caldini (*1952, Buenos Aires) and Pablo Marín (*1982, Buenos Aires), two of Argentina's most important experimental filmmakers are showing their works in Austria for the first time. The two individual presentations will be accompanied by both a historical programme, which will give an insight into the different aesthetic orientations, and an audiovisual live performance. The predominant 8mm format creates an intense colour palette that both intensifies the poetry of the sun-drenched landscapes and - supported by concentrated editing concepts - produces a suction-like, intoxicating visual experience. Meditations on light and shadow. Explorations of speed and deceleration. Concepual images of cinema.
