Preview: sich langsam nähern

Special event as part of the film series “Women's* Bodies and Their Stories,” presented by the Austrian Society for Psychosomatics in Gynecology and Obstetrics in collaboration with sixpackfilm. 

We look forward to the preview screening of slowly coming closer, followed by a discussion with Maria Arlamovsky, Eva Katharina Masel, Ingrid Marth, and Eva Thurner.

slowly coming closer is a meditation on dealing with death as a part of life and on those who accompany this process. Maria Arlamovsky turns her attention to palliative medicine and hospice care, where care workers and doctors daily support patients approaching the end of their lives. In the tension between professional care and emotional closeness, a shared existential experience becomes palpable: that of having to leave and learning to let go.
