Foodfilms

A cameraless film produced in the darkroom and consisting of photograms of the ingredients of four food dishes: alphabet soup, goulash, the Austrian dessert Kaiserschmarren, and coffee. The individual ingredients were placed directly on the film stock, exposed, and hand-processed. The film deals with the nature and components of the dishes, abstracting the activity of cooking. The series of the ingredients in the film corresponds to the order in which they were prepared.
